Madjid

Madjid's popularity goes from strength to strength since we first started exhibiting his work some five years ago.

Artist Details:Madjid was born in Teheran in 1943, son to the well known artistic Rahnavadkar family, but has lived for the last 25 years in Munich, Germany.

Both his grandfather and brother were artists and he took up painting and sculpting when he was fifteen. In 1959 he was honoured with the French-Persian prize for his paintings and a year later for his sculptures.

Madjid paintings are impressionist but reflect his inner strength and vitality. His colours are bright and brush strokes are powerful. When he paints a mountain landscape he expands reality through what is possible and creates a promised land.

His abiity and industriousness have made his name and impression on the international art scene. His works can be found in many leading private collections not only in Europe but also in America and Asia.
