Pia Amdi

Pia Amdi is an exciting coloristic, expressive artist whose paintings originate in playing with colors. She works with a palette knife in rough, powerful strokes, applying layer on layer of oil paint to give her works a unique structure and depth and she has an uncanny ability to make the often-warm colors shine on the spectator. Her pictorial universe has its origin in female power, sensuality and sweetness, but she is also inspired by the landscapes of Provence that she reproduces with great immediacy and intimacy. She accomplished many separate exhibitions at galleries, arts houses and art associations in Denmark and abroad. She has taken part in several art fairs and performed a number of decoration projects for private and public institutions.
